Tea, conversation and a visit to Frau in Herning
A small note from a visit to Frau’s new home in Herning — bringing tea from By Sips, sharing stories, and leaving with a lot of inspiration.
The other day I decided to drive to Herning and visit Frau, bringing along some of their favourite teas from @by.sips.
Frau has just moved into a beautiful new domicile in the centre of town, and it really is one of those places that makes you slow down a little the moment you walk in.
Chanett and Christina, the founders behind the fashion brand, have created something that feels very special. Beautiful, yes — but also personal. The kind of place that clearly reflects the people and the world behind it.
We sat down, had tea, and talked about their story, their inspiration, the move, and the ideas and values that shape Frau. It was one of those visits that felt very easy and very real.
We of course drank some lovely tea — this time Black Mulberry — and it was genuinely nice to hear how much both they and their customers enjoy a great cup of tea from By Sips.
That always means a lot. Because tea is never really just tea. It becomes part of a pause, part of a conversation, part of the feeling people take with them from a place.
It was also lovely listening to Chanett and Christina speak about what inspires them and how they think about Frau as a brand. Even though, when I think about it now, I am pretty sure I probably did most of the talking.
But maybe that is also part of a good visit — that it becomes relaxed enough for thoughts to move in all directions. A little business, a little storytelling, a little tea, and a lot of things you only fully think about on the drive home.
I left with a lot of inspiration, and with that very particular feeling you get after spending time with people who have built something with real personality and care.
Thank you, Chanett and Christina, for welcoming me into your beautiful new space and for sharing your story.

Visits like this stay with you. Not because they are loud or dramatic, but because they remind you how much beauty there is in thoughtful spaces, honest conversation, and a really good cup of tea.
